Does it mean TAC ban disable family sharing for the game and every time cheater is banned he has to buy new game?
SnortsALot 7 Feb, 2015 @ 9:32am
That is exactly what he is saying.

It would appear that 3arc and Valve and Steam may work as a team at last.. That was Devs first day back at work and BOOM! Banhammer will be dropping. After months of explaining to them on Twitter the issues with it they finally see the light, that it just didn't help any of the ban functions by being able to bypass it like that.
I really REALLY hope that they go retroactive on a ton of accounts and that everyone comes here to cry and ask for sympathy for being a dirtbag cheat.
I can nearly taste the tears.. The butthurt will be real son. Can't wait.

We are tightening security related to Steam Family Sharing with BlackOps2. Short version: Don't lend your game to cheaters."

I would bet population will drop by 10% at least in first 2 weeks.

It's suprising to see that they support a two year old game. Though it makes sense since BO2 is played as much as AW, if not more. I would say, however, that I generally don't run into cheaters so often in this game, noobjacked mostly.

P.s. I will miss you, Deus :claugh:

I only know of that clown from Youtube, and his occasional appearances here on the forum. I avoid Noobjacked so that's probably why I've seen so few cheats in this game. But cracking down on those idiots is great news for everyone.

LOL>.. Just got this comment from Dev after I posted a screenshot of Milk/Chrome/Bubbles/ Deus buddy whatever his name is this week..

They are on this! They have started to remove the dirtbags... we will be seeing less and less of them, except for in here crying.

I guess those 3000+ unstoppables were stopped.

Now we have to let PCDev know about the norecoil script floating around for the Logitech gear.
Logitech supports LUA scripting, and it was only a matter of time before someone used movemouserealitive() command.

Funniest part of it: Treyach starts cracking down on family sharing... and suddenly PreX' Stylez stops playing Black Ops 2, because he is, like, totally tired of being accused of cheating and selling cheats and he is totally losing PreX members to the rumors.
Glorious day. He must be raging madly right now, what with all of his precious testing accounts (deus/bubbles/milk/etc) being in danger of having HIS own account slapped with a TAC ban.

I don't think that will happen, because I have seen people still use macro. Probably something where someone has to provide an actual proof of someone is using them by the traditional method of showing a video of the person of whom is actually exploiting that feature.

Well the script is floating around if you go looking for it.
It would be very hard to police.

That's why any self-respecting anti cheat includes a human factor. i.e. a software engineer reviewing the case. Happens for TAC, happens for VAC, happens for Tripwire's anticheat.
Well, there you also have actual devs religiously playing the game, so better behave.

Moreover, it takes just a minimal modification to the driver to allow for script uploading...

It's kinds sad to see 3arc is the only studio that actually cares about it's PC audience but it's great they still actively support the game even tho it's over 2 years old. Also, it's great to see PCDev is back at 3arc which means he must be working on their next game.
